Example 3 describes the sensitivity of testing compared to lysed horse blood on agar. Those plates to which a sterile solution of thyrindine phosphorylase is added exhibited zones of inhibition which were detected after incubation at 37‹C for 16 hours. Virtually colourless plates facilitated easy evaluation of the test method according to the invention.
