The spring hinge for spectacles has a closing block in the form of a stop plate (12) and, looking from the bottom of the hinge rail guide, with a recess (13, 14) forming two steps. The bottom of the guide (11) also has a recess (15). A separate blocking element in the form of a bell (16) can be gripped by spring action (10) in the space which is formed by the recess in the guide bottom and by the first step (14), nearer the bottom, of the recess in the closing block. The closing block recess can have the form of a through-hole (13) with a widening step.
