A flow switch is used for liq. and gaseous media. It is capable of giving off a signal that is a function of throughput and temperature. It consists of a non magnetic flow tube with a proximity switch close to the tube. There is a switching element inside the tube which can move in the axial direction. The tube (1) is limited by the connecting screws (2, 3). The switching element (4) is in the form of a polygonal prism and consists of a solid section (5) and a hollow section (6). The switching element is located in a non-magnetic housing. The housing contains a series of switched thermal ferrite permanent magnet systems. The motions of the switching element is completely or partly parallel to the internal wall of the tube.
