Shelf support stand - has two vertical posts and clamp to support shelf at any height

Shelving support stand consists of two vertical guide posts (1 & 1a) and at least one clamp (2). The clamp (2) is adjustable at any chosen height. Its horizontal surface (6) provides the necessary support for a shelf (8). If shelving is required on both sides of the uprights, two facing clamps are held together by a nut and bolt (5). To improve the stability mating surfaces may be roughened by forming grooves etc., or alternatively a plastic or rubber coating may be provided.
