The automatic door lock for fitting into timber door frames has a compact metallic housing. Although it has easy movement, it does not slide in the manner of wedge shaped door catch. The easy movement of the lock is ensures by the toothed rim and a slider with a knob. The mechanism has also a locking catch with a guide profile. The locking catch is pushed downwards on downwards movement by means of the slider with force transmission by two gear wheels. This ensures unobstructed opening and closing of the door.
