ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSUREA hydraulic clutch-controlled transmission gear detentsystem including a gear shiftably mounted on a shift rail and adetent member interposed between the rail and the gear for hold-ing the gear in a shifted position. A hydraulic system, includ-ing a valve and a valve controller, such as a clutch pedal, areassociated with the detent member to hold the detent member insecuring position relative to the shifted gear.
