In combined systems of this type, used for generating electricity and for heating, the condensate temperature and hence the pressure gradient of the steam turbine (32) has hitherto been tied to the flow temperature of the heating network. By the expedient of feeding the low pressure steam not to this turbine (32) but for some other use, for example for expansion in a second turbine (96) and a second condenser (71), this coupling for the first condenser (35) is removed. The condensation temperature of the second condenser (71), which is connected downstream of the first (35) in the return line (67, 51, 55, 98) of the heating network, is now tied to the flow temperature of the heating network. In this way the condensation temperature in the first or main condenser (35) is reduced and the electrical power increased. IMAGE
