Collapsible cable drum with folding core - consists of cylindrical core with two removable cheeks on its butt ends

The collapsible cable drum has two cheeks which consist of two similar circular segments (4) on both sides of a rectangular metal part (6) with suitably rounded narrow sides. The core (3) is assembled of at least four separate parts, movably connected with each other and with a tubular central part (7) running through the whole drum width. All components of the cheeks (1, 2) and the core (3) are joined by hinges (5) with each other and with one main part consisting of the middle parts of the cheeks and the core central part. Radially running slits are incorporated in the centre part of the core for the hinges.
