The filling device is for rotary back-pressure bottle-filling machines, having a housing with a passage for fluid in which a valve plug moving up and down works against a seat, together with a rotary disc controlling the gas passages in the housing. The plug and disc are actuated by cams rotating in the housing and stationary stops. The axis of rotation of the disc (15) runs in the same direction as the fluid passage (2) in the housing (1). The disc is annular, and encloses the passage. It can be mounted in the lower part of the housing, below the seat (3) for the valve plug (4) and concentric to the passage.
