Tube liner for bore hole in coal strata - has liner filled with porous foam concrete for impregnating strata with water

Bored holes, drilled from a propped working area into the stratea for the impregnation of coal with water, are lined with thin-walled tubes which are filled with material having complete porosity, so that a passage through the tubes is maintained. The tubes are of a synthetic material which corresponds to the requirements of under ground safety regulations. The filling material is e.g. foam concrete or a self-foaming material with complete porosity. The lined boreholes, the length of which is a multiple of the distance to which the coal face can be cut back in a day, are put in during the maintenance shift or at weekends when no conveyors are working. To ensure that the tubes are put in without trouble or damage, they are stabilised with filling beforehand.
