The miniature tennis game has movable model players (15). The playing surface (1) is a table top marked out to scale with courts and a net. One robot is positioned on each base line, is of humanoid form complete with racket (16), and is in a forehand driving posture. Each player is mounted (13) on the inside (11) of a pair of vertical axles (11, 12), coupled by pulley wheels (20, 22) and an endless belt (21). They project through parallel slots (9, 10) in the table top (1). The model is rotated to execute a shot by operating a hand lever (17) attached to the top of the rear axle (12). The bases of the axles and pulley wheels are mounted inside a box sectioned runner (19). The runner is mounted on rails (25) beneath the table top (1) enabling the robot to be slid across the base line.
