The plunger type spray device has a tube (1) with its bottom immersed in the liquid to be sprayed, with a ball valve (2) at the bottom. Inside is a piston (4), held upwards by a spring (12) below. The top of the piston protrudes above the tube, and carries the spray head (13) which is pushed down manually against the force of the spring (12). Below the head is a cap which fits over the container for the liquid. Inside the piston is a block (6) with a circular sealing lip (7) underneath, held down by a smaller spring (8). When the head is pushed down, the pressure lifts the block (6) against its spring (8) and liquid is forced past grooves around its top, and liquid already above the block is forced through a sleeve (9) inside the piston through the spray outlet (14) inside the head.
