A machine for cold rolling of gear teeth on workpieces has two form rolls which can be adjusted in the direction of rotation to their synchronising gear. Both form rolls are supported on the machine bed so that they can be fixed at varying distances from each other. This facilitates the setting-up operations of the form rolls for a new batch. These rolls can be adjusted without losing their synchronised motion. No complex gear mechanisms are required.
