The synchronizer body (1) has a base body (2) with internal tooth (3), which is formed for rotary fixed connection with counter tooth of a gear shaft. The base body has external tooth (4), which is formed for rotationally fixed but axially displaceable connection with a sliding sleeve. The base body has two axially adjacent components (2',2''). The external tooth is made by cold forming roll process, in which two radially extending portions (5',5'') of two components of the base body are subjected to the rolling process.
