Control valve for central heating radiator - has passages in valve plug to facilitate connection to single pipe system

The radiator (6) of a central heating system is connected to a single pipe (10) which serves both as a supply and as a return pipe. The pipe is connected to the radiator through a double bore pipe (20) and a valve (7). The plug of the valve has passages so arranged that with the plug in one extreme position, the radiator inlet is connected to the inlet bore of the double bore pipe (20) and the radiator outlet is connected to the other bore. In the other extreme position of the plug, both inlet and outlet of the radiator are closed.
