In (I), A is O or S R1 is H or Cl and R2 H, acetyl or R3R4N-CH2-CH2 where R3-4 are alkyl or together with the N atom form a satd. heterocyclic gp. Used as analgesics, antipyretics and antiinflammatories used to treat pain, headaches, migraines, toothace, neuralgia, menstrual pain, inflammatory rheumatism, arthrosis pains, colds, fevers, influenza etc. They are administered in doses of 500-3000 mg/day as tablets gelules or suppositories.
