1434734 Pressing concrete to remove excess water SAFETICURB Ltd 23 May 1973 [30 May 1972] 25144/72 Heading B5A [Also in Division F2] Concrete is pressed in a mould by a press member 17, to express water through the mould walls, the rate of egress of water from the concrete being different at different regions of the mould. The mould walls and bottom include perforated metal plates 10, 14 with filter paper or cloth 11, 15, and perforations 13. The press member 17 includes a perforated plate 18 and filter paper 19. Water is removed by suction, and different capacity filters ensure different egresses of water from different regions of the concrete. A drainage block (see Division F2) is formed using a collapsible core 16.
