The lighting fitting, especially for illumination of seats in motor vehicles has a ball joint for moving the lighting fitting and the lighting fitting is simplified for production and installation purposes. The housing which is used to hold the lighting fitting has a spherical shape for adjustment purposes in its holder. The housing (11) is provided with a switch (15) and electrical connections and the spherical housing has a cylindrical bore with axial grooves for holding inserted lamp socket (14). This socket has extension with lens and the socket is firmly held by snap fit in the spherical housing bore.
