A lamp fitting is for a motor vehicle. The reflector insertion opening is sealed off so that it is watertight when mounted. It consists of a pot-shaped insulated housing with a contact socket and bayonet fittings. There is a spring which retains the central contact in the insulated housing. The insulated housing (1) has a closed base with two entry holes which just fit the cross-section of the supply strips (2a, 3). They are fed through the holes via grommets. The insulated housing made from heat-resistant plastics is embedded in the contact socket (2). The supply strip (3) to the central contact (4, 5) inside the housing is bent over at a right-angle with a hole (3b) to support the central contact.
