Generator producing ignition and ionisation voltages - has timer, triac, transformer and voltage arrester supplying ionisation flame monitor

The generator has a transformer (10) converting the mains into an ignition voltage by voltage step-up. The ignition electrode (16) is connected to the sec. winding (14). A triac (24) is in series with the prim. winding (12). An overvoltage arrester (20) is in series with the sec. winding. The ionisation voltage appears at a terminal (22) between the sec. winding and the overvoltage arrester. A time switch (26) turns on the triac after a given delay. The circuit automatically applies the lower ionisation voltage after the ignition voltage has been removed.
