The four mould walls are surrounded by an outer, fixed frame; and each of the two long walls of the mould are pressed against the edges of the two side walls by a clamp. Each clamp consists of a double-acting work cylinder fixed on the frame and contg. a piston fitted with both a front and rear piston rod. The front piston rod is located via a pivot on a plate contg. spring-loaded bolts pressing one long wall against the edges of the two side walls; whereas the rear piston rod butts against a removable wedge inserted between the rod and an adjusting screw, so the supply of pressurised fluid to the work cylinder ca be switched off once the long wall has been clamped against the side walls.
