The air-conditioning plant for a car has a two-part housing (1, 2) linked by a straight coupling flange (14) and secured by rapid fasteners (9) which are self-locating. The two parts of the housing are on opposite sides of the engine bulkhead and have a single sealing gasket. A fan (6) is mounted on the inside housing with a sound deadening gasket. The system is simple to install and access for repairs is by rapid release of the fasteners. The plant consists of a blower set in fresh air channel and a control casing connectable to defrosting aerating nozzles and fitted with air baffles and a heat exchanger.
