Automatic bobbin changing device movable between a bobbin changing and an inoperative position relative to a bobbin mounted for rotation on a horizontal spindle and engaging a winding roller is provided with a nozzle operative to remove and catch the moving yarn, the nozzle being provided with a slot forming a catching member connected to a suction duct. Slot is arranged in the pivotal plane of the yarn.
