We claim:   1. A process of manufacturing continuous webs of natural or synthetic fibres by wet process comprising feeding a head box by a very diluted suspension and filtering on an endless mobile screen, characterised in that the formation of the web is effected in two successive stages, the first comprising the concentration of fibres by floatation in the head box close to the free surface, by creating negative pressure above the supply level in the box and by blowing gas through the suspension, the second comprising the filtration of the concentrated upper part of the suspension on the said screen.
