Abstract of the DisclosureMethod and apparatus for use in an ink jetprinting device to synchronously produce a plurality ofuniform fluid filaments and droplets. A fluid reservoiris provided with an orifice plate having a plurality oforifices through which the fluid issues to produce thedesired filaments and droplets. The top of the reservoirconsists of a flexible pressure plate which can be flexedin a transverse bending motion by a plurality of electro-acoustic transducers suspended above the pressure plate soas to produce substantially uniform pressure waves in thefluid over the plurality of orifices.
