INTEGRATION OF STRIPPING OF FINES SLURRY IN A COKING AND GASIFICATION PROCESS

ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSUREIn an integrated fluid coking and gasification processwherein a stream of fluidized solids is passed from a fluidized bedcoking zone to a second fluidized bed and wherein entrained solidfines are recovered by a wet scrubbing process and wherein the re-sulting solids-liquid slurry is stripped to remove acidic gases, thestripped vapors of the stripping zone are sent to the gas cleanupstage of the gasification product gas. The improved scripping in-tegration is particularly useful in the combination coal liquefactionprocess, fluid coking of bottoms of the coal liquefaction zone andgasification of the product coke.
