Parent Patent describes webs contg. natural and synthetic fibres which are heat treated, e.g. for drying, polymerising and condensing resin impregnations, using a closed chamber contg. transporting filter rollers with suction devices and partial covers and end fans to remove treating medium and also to blow back into the space round the rollers, using also direct gas flame heating for the treating medium circulation, and feeding the gas to the suction area between rollers and fans. In this addn. an annular space, between the fan support and a cylinder round the roller with the roller bearing, allows gases or flames to enter the suction draught of the fan. Efficient gas combustion, uniform heating and effective positioning of fans is provided.
