Grease lubrication feed for vacuum pump bearings - has non-return sleeve valve and enclosed grease reservoir closed by screw

The grease lubricant feed for the bearings (2) of a vacuum pump has grease pumped through a channel (13,14) to the bearing (2) using a grease gun (31). The grease is forced through either a spring ball (21,24,25) or rubber sleeve (29) non-return valve. The grease is contained in a reservoir (20,30) formed in the casing of the pump. The reservoir (20,30) is closed by a screw (18). The non-return valve may have an additional bush screwing into the reservoir (30) with a packing screw to isolate the grease channel (13) from ambient pressure.
