PURPOSE:To reduce the working time from scooping up of molten metal up to its pouring by putting on a chain between the chain wheel fitted to the support shaft of a small arm provided with a ladle and the large-diameter chain wheel secured to a main shaft and suitably restraining the revolution of the large-diameter chain wheel. CONSTITUTION:When a chain 19 moves around a large-diameter chain wheel 7 while changing its intermeshing position along with the turning of a large arm 3 from the furnace A to the pouring port B, a small-diameter chain wheel 13 moves while chaning its direction in the clockwise direction owing to the difference in the number of teeth from the chain wheel 7 and the small arm 12 secured to the chain wheel 13 thrns clockwise, causing a ladle 15 to be conveyed up to the pouring port B while drawing a mild curve close to straight line. Hence, the working time from the scooping up of molten metal up to its pouring is reduced. At the scooping-off and scooping-up of the molten metal in the furnace A, the restraining of the large- diameter chain wheel 7 is released and this enables the ladle 15 to be moved upward and downward by holding the small arm 12 in the approximately perpendicular state by way of the chain wheel 13 in the same direction as the chain wheel 7, thereby eliminating the spill of the molten metal.
