ROTATING HEARTH TYPE CONTINUOUS HEAT-TREATMENT FURNACE

PURPOSE:To improve thermal efficiency of the heat-treatment furnace by reusing effectively the high temperature exhaust gas from the heating zone and the soaking zone in the rotating hearth type continuous heat-treatment furnace. CONSTITUTION:When the cold-rolled steel belt etc. is annealed in the rotating hearth type continuous heat-treatment furnace, the coil is at first put in the preheating zone 11 from the charging door 1, preheated, passed through the heating zone and the soaking zone 6, carried into the cooling zone 7 via the intermediate door 4, cooled and taken out. In this case the exhaust outlet 13 is installed on the top wall of the charge side of the preheating zone 11 and high temperature exhaust gas from the heating zone 5 and the soaking zone 6 is discharged from the exhaust outlet 13. Accordingly, the steel strip coil charged in the preheating zone 11 is preheated by exhaust gas and exhaust gas itself is cooled and discharged in the open air, thereby, thermal efficiency of the heat-treatment furnace is improved.
