PURPOSE:To eliminate the effect of a dark current from the signal outputted from a solidstate image sensor, by controlling the potential of a drain electrode of a stray diffusion amplifier, according to the temperature detected from a solidstate image sensor outputting the signal with a stray diffusion amplifying method. CONSTITUTION:In a device using a solidstate image sensor in which a stray diffusion amplifier is provided, transfer charges are fed to the gate of this amplifier and the corresponding output signal is picked up from the source, the ambient temperature of a CCD1 as the image sensor is detected at a detecting circuit 2 having a thermister 2A. Further, the pulse having a specified peak value according to the detected temperature at a control circuit 3 is fed to the drain of a stray diffusion amplifier during the blanking period in a television signal, and making the potential VCD during the period is decreased by the increment of dark current due to temperature rise. Thus, the effect of dark current from the signal outputted from the CCD1 is eliminated, thereby a necessity of temperature compensation as to the black level at the post stage circuit and of selection of elements with less dark current is eliminated.
