UNLOADER WITH CONTINUOUS UNLOADING DEVICE FOR BULK CARGO

PURPOSE:To adapt an installation of unloading coal, grain, or other bulk cargoes from under deck for widening the range of cargo-work and for a large-sized ship by providing a continuous unloading device for bulk cargoes to be freely pulled up and down under a trolley running on a horizontal boom. CONSTITUTION:A continuous unloading device 21 for bulk cargoes is provided to be freely pulled up and down by a wire rope 20 on a trolley 19 mounted to be freely moved along a boom 3 horizontally projected from the side of a wharf 1 of an unloader 17. This unloading device 21 contains a bucket conveyor 28 composed of a number of buckets 22 and a rope 23 connecting these buckets to be driven by a proper driving means, and constructed to scoop up bulk cargoes 9 in a ship's hold 8 by the bucket conveyor 28. The bulk cargoes 9 scooped up are then thrown into a hopper 10 from a chute 29 via conveyors 24 and 25 of a double-stage structure adapted for longitudinal sliding, and transferred to a yard conveyor 12 through an inner conveyor 11.
