Each de-icer "boot" on a blade 19 contains two alternately energized radially disposed resistance heaters. The lead strap 17 contains three wires 18 connected to terminals 27, 28, 29, on a portion 26 of bracket 22, which portion mounts the cable clamp 69. Lead 53 includes three insulated wires 57, 58, 59, connected between terminals 27, 28, 29, and a terminal block 38 on bulkhead 15. Wires 39, 40, 41, connect block 38 to slip rings 35, 36, 37, engaged by suitable brushes (not shown) for power supply purposes. The construction of lead 53, with a heat-shrunk sleeve 63, Fig. 5 (not shown), is described (see Division H1).
