The filler mechanism is for a single chamber counter pressure filling machine for use in beer or soft drink filling systems. It has a filling and gas input pipe with valves to control the forward and reverse gas flows in the gas channel. The filler mechanism has a float valve in the gas input pipe. There is a common feed channel (16, 19, 26) for forward and reverse gas flows. This channel (16, 19, 26) connects the filler pipe (5) with a float valve chamber (20) and a further space (18), which has a feed pipe (16 )which penetrates the valve body. This feed pipe (16) has a gas flow central valve (17) which regulates flow in both directions.
