The apparatus has a box-shaped housing with a top insertion opening for the foot and a piping system with nozzles inside. In the lower part of the housing is a tilting tread grille (6), while between the latter and the housing bottom is a chamber (7) for disinfectant fluid (8), together with a pump (9) connected to the piping (10) and spray nozzles. A filler opening can be provided in the top of the chamber, containing a filler valve opened by the insertion of the spout of a replenishment vessel containing the disinfectant.
