The device for painting the inside of a pipe (2) has an air-blast atomiser (1) which is supplied with epoxy resin paint from tank (3) and hardener from tank (4). Compressed air is supplied from compressor (13). Additional air is fed via valve (16) and regulator (17) to tangential inlets (18) which set up a rapid spiral air flow pattern in the pipe. The paint is carried forward and deposited on the walls of the pipe. Excess paint leaves at the end of the pipe and can be drawn off by an exhaust device.
