The apparatus has a housing (4), and an operating air directing device arranged partly in the housing for providing air to the apparatus. A lacquer supply device is arranged in the housing, and a lacquer outlet opening (1a) with a spray jet is connected with a lacquer delivery device. A corona electrode is connected to a high voltage source, where the electrode is arranged within the operating air directing device. An independent claim is also included for a painting method for spray painting of the construction units.
