The invention relates to a strap fitting for anchoring a safety belt end of a vehicle safety belt with a safety belt end fitting. Whilst the safety belt end was previously sewn in such a way that the safety belt fitting was held in the loop produced by sewing, by means of the invention a safety belt fitting is provided in which the safety belt end is held securely on the safety belt end section by means of a clamping element by frictional locking so that any relative movement between the safety belt end and the end fitting is ruled out.
