The geothermal energy recovery equipment comprises a cylinder (1) of large diameter and great height, closed at the bottom (2), and subdivided by sealing membranes (6) into chambers (5) of equal height. The cylinder is mounted in a deep and large-diameter well (4), and is surmounted in the top part of the well by a large-capacity cylindrical chamber (7) with an insulating wall (8), together with a heat-recovery unit (3). The chambers (5) can be interconnected by pipes (9) leading from the bottom of the lower one to the top of the one above it, each with a non-return valve (10) at the lower end.
