Opening and emptying mechanism for bags with noxious contents - included conveyor in enclosure with rotary cutters, bag disposal members and product discharge

The mechanism is intended for opening and emptying bags in paper, plastic, hessian etc., particularly bags containing unpleasant or noxious products. It comprises a conveyor belt (B) which moves from a loading position into an enclosure (A) containing e.g. two rotating horizontal circular cutting blades (C) arranged at either side on arms horizontally outwardly swivelable against spring force or the like. The blades cut the front and sides (a,b) of each bag. At the end of the belt, guide fingers (D) swivel up and down to move the emptied bags between driven cylinder pairs (E) which discharge them into a disposal trough (F) (e.g. with worm). The bag contents drop into a discharge opening (G). FL.
