In a centrifugal mill with a cylindrical grinding drum which rotates about its own drum axis and at the same time rotates on a circle of rotation with constant turning ratio about a fixed axis of rotation which is parallel to the drum axis, and the distance of the drum axis from the rotation axis is smaller than the radius of the grinding drum, and which grinding drum has a charging device on an end part and a discharge device on the other end part of the grinding drum, wear occurs in the charging and emptying zone and ground bodies can be thrown out. This is prevented by arranging conical extension parts (2a, 2b) on both end parts (1), mounting a spiral loading device (3) on the conical extension part (2a) on the charging side and arranging discharge orifices (4) in the outer surface of the cone on the discharge side near to the end of the conical extension part (2b).
