A cover (11) for the nut (2) at the end (3) of a motor vehicle windscreen wiper arm includes two short spindles (19) which locate into two corresponding holes provided in the end (3) of the arm. The short spindles (19) are pref. coaxial and the holes are pref. situated under the hollow section (4) of the arm. The cover overlaps part of the hollow section. The sides of the cover carrying the spindles (19) are pref. resilient and may have reinforcing ribs formed along the inner surface.
