The mounting for a windscreen wiper blade (1,2) has a transverse pivot bolt (4) which can slide transversely in an opening (10) in the pivot. The pivot bolt can be a rivet which can hold a retaining guide for the wiper blade. The guide can have a flat disc (6a,b) or rectangular plate. The guide is in two parts which can be separate or integral. The cut-out in the mounting can have a flat to retain the pivot bolt against turning. The mounting can have U-shaped cross-section.
