The block is shaped to allow single or double leaf construction and has a combination of a parallelepipedal base (1) surmounted by a shoulder (2) of the same height but half the length. The edges (3,4) of the base on both sides of the shoulder are equidistant and symmetrical and are of equal height, length and width. For double leaf construction, the shoulders of the blocks face and overlap each other, so that only the large face of the block bases can be seen from outside.
