The reflector for a vehicle has catadioptric surfaces fixed to the rims of the wheels. The surfaces diffuse light impinging on them and reflect it back at different angles, the headlights from other vehicles being used. When attached to the rims, the surfaces oscillate vertically. The width of the reflector (C1) is greater than that of a tyre installed on the wheel. The surfaces have a lateral section to collect light rays from a source at the side of the vehicle.
