METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PLACING CONCRETE IN DAM CONSTRUCTION WORK

PURPOSE:To permit the continuous placement of concrete by a method in which concrete is supplied to tripper conveyer for continuous placement and the height of the frame of the tripper conveyer is increased by matching the progress of concrete placement. CONSTITUTION:Concrete supplied from a batcher plant is sent through a charging conveyer and an inclined conveyer 8 to a tripper conveyer 1. The concrete from the tripper conveyer 1 is transferred to a tripper 4 and then charged through an expansible chute 6 and a portable conveyer 7 onto a placement site. As the concrete placement proceeds and the placed level of concrete comes near the frame 3 of the tripper conveyer 1, an extending member is connected to a support 2 by lifting the frame 3 and the height of the tripper conveyer 1 is altered. At the same time, the hight of the head of the inclined conveyer 8 is also altered. The hightening work of the tripper conveyer 1 is preferably made alternately by providing left- and right-handed tripper conveyers 1 and 1'.
