FIBROUS ELASTIC GRINDING STONE FOR REMOVING SCALES OF HOT- ROLLED STEEL

PURPOSE:To enable elastic polishing of steel after rough rolling to remove scales at a low cost, by the use of an elastic grinding stone comprising short fibers including abrasive grains, curable resin and abrasive grains. CONSTITUTION:A fibrous elastic grinding stone for removing scales from hot- rolled steel is formed of short fibers including abrasive grains, curable resin and abrasive grains. The content of the short fibers including abrasive grains accounts for 10 to 90wt%; the content of curable resin in the short fibers including abrasive grains accounts for 20 to 50wt%; and the abrasive grains to be added to the short fibers including abrasive grains accounts for 50 to 250wt%, thereby obtaining better elasticity, grinding ability, and abrasion resistance.
