PURPOSE:To prevent the solidification of a discharged broth and sticking of steam to the ceiling, etc., by introducing the broth, steam and drain to be discharged from a cooking vessel for fermented soybeans once into a treating medium for stirring and fluidizing the broth, steam and drain, and discarding the resultant mixture. CONSTITUTION:A broth, steam and drain to be discharged from a cooking vessel for fermented soybeans are once introduced into a treating medium, e.g. water, for stirring or fluidizing the broth, steam and drain, and then the resultant mixture is discharded. A stirrer mouted on a treating tank may simply be used as a means for stirring the treating medium, and the treating medium is fluidized by circulation, etc. to prevent the solidification of the broth. As a result, the broth can be discarded smoothly to the outside of the factory without solidifying the broth, and the discharged steam is liquefied in water to minimize the generation of the steam and prevent the sticking of the steam to the ceiling, wall, etc.
