Process for obtaining a liquid detergent composition for hard surfaces which is free from organic solvents

Process for obtaining a homogeneous and stable liquid detergent composition, for the cleaning and removal of grease from hard surfaces, which does not contain organic solvents. It comprises the following operations: firstly, a natural coconut oil is hydrolysed, following by catalytic hydrogenation, under pressure, of the mixture of fatty acids obtained, so as to obtain a mixture of hydrogenated fatty acids with a C8 + C10 content lower than 3%; secondly, the fatty acids are reacted with an alkaline hydroxide in an aqueous medium, in the presence of an anionic surfactant of the C10-C20 secondary alkaline alkyl sulphonate type; and lastly a non-ionic surfactant of the C8-C16 polyoxyethylenated fatty alcohol type and an inorganic alkaline substance of the alkali metal carbonate or bicarbonate type are added.
