The heavy duty vibratory separator for obtaining grannular material from a slurry, includes a sprinkling and water collection system. It has one section (7) mounted above and at right angles to another section (3). Each section has a separator unit (1, 11) which includes the sprinkler arrangement (2), supported on the frame which is made from C-section channels. The lower section (3) slopes at an angle, and is supported at the lowest point by a set of springs (8) mounted on the base (5). Both sections are supported by vibrator units (4) carried by resilient rubber elements (6). The hollow members forming the base are used for conveying the water for the spray system. Vibration measuring devices are used to maintain a constant load.
